WHERE WE ARE
Where the wind smells of myrtle, one of the most beautiful beaches of northern Sardinia, between the clear green of the crystalline waters and the bright one of the surrounding vegetation, immersed in an evocative natural context. Its spectacular sandy dunes are set between the cliffs of Isola Rossa and Punta Li Canneddi. The beautiful and extensive beach of the Marinedda will hit you by the contrast between the shades of the crystalline waters, the brightness of its sand and the red granite of the imposing rocks with varied shapes. It is part of the same coastal stretch of the Longa beach, which leads to the picturesque fishing village of Isola Rossa, in the territory of Trinità d'Agultu and Vignola.

The villa is structured in two "distinct but joined together" bodies, a body to the north consists of a kitchen, a bathroom and a room with a double bed for two people and another single bed. The central body, of round structure, contains the large living room with its three panoramic windows on the Bay, two bedrooms, one double, the other consisting of two single beds and a large bathroom. The decor reflects the era, the beds are in wought iron and the tiles that cover the whole house are of original Sardinian ceramic amenities:

The villa, 60s Moorish style, located in the center of the splendid Baia della Marinedda, is 300 meters from the red sand beach, and enjoys an exceptional panorama with unforgettable sunsets. The surrounding garden measures about 4000 square meters, where the aromatic vegetation arises spontaneously like myrtle, rosemary, strawberry tree, juniper, with shaded area of secular pine trees that mitigate the warm sunny afternoons.
Outside the kitchen there is a comfortable sheltered veranda (sunny patio) for the dining / breakfast area that can also be used on less fortunate days of possible short rains.
Outside, facing the living room facing the sea, there is a large living terrace equipped with garden furniture, while on the service side, in addition to the comfortable outdoor shower, there is a barbeque with the appropriate space for the wood.
Inside the garden there is a parking space both uncovered and uncovered.
Just 2 minutes walk to reach the beach of Marinedda, one of the most beautiful and equipped of the "Costa Rossa", one of the most evocative areas of the north-west of Sardinia. It offers wide open spaces, kiosks, bars where you can have lunches and dinners, beach concessions with sun beds and umbrellas rentals, boats, sailing boats, windsurfing, wave surfing, skatepark, guided excursions.

The rocks of the Valle della Luna
Starting from Isola Rossa, the first is the Valle della Luna, a valley called in this way because of the particular shape and position of the rocks that leads back to a lunar landscape. Eroded and oxidized rocks that, viewed from the top of a belvedere on the road, can fuel your imagination for the thousands of shapes that you take in your eyes. An unmissable place if you are near the Isola Rossa and Badesi.
The authentic village of Aggius
Continuing on the road, you meet the junction for Aggius. The small but delightful Borgo, inserted between the authentic villages of Italy and the Orange Flag, is an obligatory stop for a break. The coffee tables on the main street, the craft shops and the characteristic hand-woven carpets, as well as the Museo Museo Oliva Carta Cannas and the Museum of Banditry, will surely make your stopover interesting and enjoyable!
The monolith of Monti Pulchiana
From Aggius you reach Monte Pulchiana in just 15 minutes by car. The largest monolith in Sardinia stands on a plateau covered by low and sparse vegetation. This mountain is considered an inselberg, originated by a process of hydrolysis that led to the breakup of the rock and the creation of the unique surrounding landscape of the island. A wild place to visit in Gallura, an excursion to be made especially during the evocative Sardinian spring, to enjoy the best of its colors, the scents of Mediterranean maquis and the mild climate.
The Nurori Majori near Tempio Pausania
On the way back to your Villa, a stop at Nuraghe Majori is a must! Located about two kilometers from Tempio Pausania, it is the best known nuraghe in the whole of the Gallura region. A single tower nuraghe with a Tholos plant and corridors, which can be reached after a pleasant walk among the cork oaks. Young expert guides will be happy to illustrate not only the archaeological site but to provide you with useful information to know the Nuragic civilization in Sardinia. A place surrounded by nature where you will also find a small shop of handicrafts, Sardinian jewelry and original souvenirs created by local artists.
The sunset at the Aragonese Tower of Isola Rossa
On returning to the evening, a walk along the promenade of the Isola Rossa from the port to the Longa beach would be a nice way to end an alternative day of vacation. But there is a special place where you can watch the sunset and get lost in the horizon of the sea on the Gulf of Asinara: the Aragonese Tower. Built on a promontory of about 35 meters over the sea, unfortunately the tower can not be visited but it is part of the suggestive scenography, when the color of the sea and the sun become red like the rocks of the Costa Rossa.
