Our Deluxe Suites are perfect for honeymooners or couples looking for a romantic getaway. Soak up the romance in your spa bath or relax on the comfortable, super king bed.

The hotel provides four of these Deluxe Suites, featuring a modern ensuite with separate shower and spa bath, double handbasins and complimentary Distinction toiletries (saved from going to landfill through The Hotel Weka recycling program).

The hotel also offers an alternative Deluxe Suite with slightly more space. A one bedroom suite with comfortable lounge area and super king size bed plus a separate bedroom with two single beds and ensuite with shower over bath. The luxury of space for a small family group or two couples travelling together.

Beautiful views but Average for the price.
The bathroom fittings and bed setting's are designed for very short people! Aside from this the room was great and reception very friendly . We were upgraded to a lake view which was spectacular . Unfortunlately the mattresses are dipping in the middle somewhat. The room lighting is poor, too dull, but the blockout curtains work well if you want to sleep in. Breakfast is your standard full breakfast

Convenience in a small town close to glow worms.
We were on a tour and stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is dated, yet it does have an air of mid century modern. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Bathroom was updated.It is a block from the lake where you pick up the boat for the glow worm tour. This is a small town with limited choices. Main Street has a few restaurants. The meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The lamb shank done to perfection. Nice small intimate bar too. Included breakfast had many choices. Only suggestion is to replace the bedspread with a duvet cover. Other than that, great convenient place to stay.

Short visit to Te Anau
Very well appointed hotel. All that you would expect from a 4 star hotel if somewhat dated decor. Great breakfast buffet included in the price and restaurant on site. We booked our trips to Doubtful and Milford Sounds trips through the hotel and found the reception staff extremely helpful. Plenty of parking on site and location right in the middle of town.

With a bit more effort, this hotel could be excellent
Our stay here was just about okay.
We were denied access into our room until later in the day as it hadn't been cleaned.
You really need to install a lift for hotel guests to make access easier for first floor rooms.
First impressions count, so it was sad to see the most miserable member of staff on duty when we arrived for breakfast, and barking instructions where we should sit.
The layout of breakfast food and drinks needs a rethink. Why put the coffee machine in a tight crowded corner where access is difficult?

We have three lifts, two of these are visible from the reception desk.
Also our coffee machines are central allowing access from both sides.

Mauvais service
Halte sur la route de Milford afin de faire trois courses.
Le restaurant est charmant et bien placé mais long et mauvais service.
25 minutes pour deux cafés ( dont 1 reversé) et accueil glacial.
Heureusement nous avons dormis ailleurs.
Je ne recommande pas

Hôtel pour groupe
Propreté discutable
Tâche de chocolat sur un fauteuil , constatée ( hélas ) trop tard …d’où un pantalon sali.
Draps avec des traces grisâtres. Lorsque nous avons signalé ce fait à la réception cela n’a pas semblé perturber la personne…. Normal nous ne faisions pas parti d’un groupe , car le seul mot d’ordre de cet hôtel quand vous leur parler c’est d’abord « quel groupe ? » .

Per una notte è perfetto
La stanza è spaziosa ed è pulita. Il parcheggio è gratuito e comodo. La colazione può essere a buffet o alla carta in due posti ben distinti. È una location ottima quando si vuole effettuare un’escursione ai fiordi.

Grosses, gutes Hotel
Wir waren 2 Nächte da und haben uns wohlgefühlt.
Unser Zimmer (1. Etage) war gross und sauber. Die Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber ok. Frühstückbuffett gut/vielfältig.
Durch die Grösse sind auch grössere Gruppen (Asien) einquartiert.
Liegt direkt im Zentrum und hat einige Restaurants und Shops in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Für uns als Basis für Ausflüge in die Berge ok und empfehlenswert.

Für die Durchreise ok ...
.. mehr aber auch nicht.

Nun ist dieses Haus ja im neuseeländischen Vergleich nicht gerade hochpreisig angesiedelt oder als Luxus-Unterkunft angepriesen. So darf man die Erwartungen per se schon nicht oben ansiedeln.

Das Haus ist sauber und in guter Lage.
Jedoch in die Jahre gekommen und mit dem Charme des Durchschleusens.
Bevorzug von asiatischen Busreisenden besucht, spiegelt sich dieser Eindruck auch beim Frühstück wieder.
Die Auswahl und Qualität des Frühstücksbuffets ist in Ordnung.
Aber der Lärmpegel, die Hektik und ein komplett überforderter Platzanweiser, der einfach nicht zuhört, wenn man ihm mehrfach sagt, man gehöre keiner Gruppe an, tun ihr Übriges für einen leicht genervten Start in den Tag.
Dieser Platzanweiser ist aber leider auch von den Tourguides oder Busfahrern total allein gelassen.

Zum Abendessen haben wir uns schon deshalb lieber in einem Restaurant im Ortskern niedergelassen.

Es sind viele kostenlose Parkplätze verfügbar und Aufzüge im Hause. Das fanden wir auch nicht in allen Hotels vor.
Ich möchte Te Anau nicht eintauschen gegen die teuren Unterkünfte direkt in Milford Sound. Die Sandfliegen im Milford Sound sind unerträglich.

Von daher: Kann man absolut buchen.

Tre notti
L’albergo si trova sulla strada principale di Te Anau. Ha parcheggio e Wi-Fi illimitato e buono. La stanza era molto spaziosa e pulita. Del bagno criticherei la vasca con la tenda e il miscelatore. Comoda la lavanderia per gli ospiti.
Il personale della reception merita un encomio particolare. Si è attivato con tanta pazienza ad organizzare le nostre gite.
Adiacente c’è un ristorante che ci ha servito un’ottima carne.
Il buffet della colazione era vario e la sala da pranzo molto luminosa.

Wir können vom Distinction Luxmore nur positives berichten. Wir hatten bei einer lokalen Firma eine Kajak-Tour gebucht. Am Tag des Ausfluges wurden wir aber im Hotel nicht abgeholt, die haben uns tatsächlich vergessen.... der General Manager des Hotels war zum Glück gleich vor Ort und hat dies mitbekommen. Er hat sich danach für uns einfach weltklasse eingesetzt und uns für den nächsten Tag nochmals eine Tour gebucht, obwohl dies angesichts der grossen Touristenmenge schier aussichtslos erschien. plus que correct
cet hotel est situé près du las et des commerces
.la chambre est spacieuse avec une belle salle de bains. l'ensemble est lumineux et propre.
seul bémol l'absence de climatisation mais présence d'un bon ventilateur
à noter un bon petit déjeuner

très bon souvenir de cet hôtel
nous y avons passé 1 seule nuit, les vacances se terminent.
Belle et grande chambre, propre, agréable a vivre. Toujours une très bonne literie, comme dans tous les hotels fréquentés. La salle de restaurant est immense, et si nous avons la chance, d'être peu nombreux, il doit y en avoir du monde, les bons jours. Nous somme le 28 Nov, et les touristes ne sont pas encore présents. Bien dommage pour eux, car les fleurs nous offrent un émerveillement après le repos de l' hiver.. Il me semble que c'est la plus belle saison pour visiter la N Z, avec la faune et la flore, qui explosent.
Bonne restauration pour notre repas du soir, et notre petit déjeuner. Hotel très calme, en pleine nature, et une belle construction les murs sont habillés de pierre. Bon souvenir, oui...

Doubtful Sound
Wir hatten ein Erdgeschoss Zimmer und vor der Tür ein kleine Area mit Stühlen und Tischen, sehr nett! Das Hotel ist mit Sicherheit in die Jahre gekommen, liegt aber genial mitten drin. Parkplatz kostenfrei vor der Tür.

Confortevole
Chiariamo subito che non è un hotel di lusso,come Te Anau non è una cittadina da visitare se non fosse per le attrazioni naturali che si trovano nelle vicinanze.
Però il Distinction Luxmore è un hotel c’è offre tutti i comfort.
Camerecomode e pulite,una lavanderia,piccola palestra,colazione abbondante a buffet e una posizione centralissima per fare due passi in paese e mangiare un boccone.
Un particolare grazie va ad Anchal della reception che è stata molto gentile e disponibile nelle operazioni di check in e check out

Esperienza positiva
Hotel confortevole e pulito, personale della reception disponibile e cordiale. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante buffet dell’albergo: cibo buono (ottimo curry di pollo), una menzione speciale al gentilissimo maitre Yogi, che ci ha accolti con grande professionalità e cortesia!

muffiges, altes Hotel
Das ganze Hotel roch unangenehm muffig. DAs Personal war teilweise schnippisch und unfreundlich. Das Zimmer, das wir zugewiesen bekamen, wurde angepriesen als upgrade...es war ein Behindertenzimmer, was zwar über zwei Zimmer und zwei Bäder verfügte, aber muffelte, dass einem schlecht wurde..... Nie wieder werde ich in diese Massenabfertigungsunterkunft einkehren.

Il pelo nell'uovo
Albergo nuovo, molto bello, con tanti servizi: possibilità di fare lavatrice e di stirare, piccola palestra a disposizione dei clienti, addirittura due ristoranti, ma anche con alcuni "difetti". Nella mia camera mancava un comodino da una parte del letto, le luci per leggere erano al soffitto e avevano la stessa intensità delle altre (se uno legge per l'altro dormire è impossibile..), nell'angolo cottura mancava il lavello (vero che c'e il lavandino in bagno, ma...), nel bagno di mia figlia mancavano sia appendiabiti che portasciugamani.
Nonostante questo, buon rapporto qualità prezzo, consigliato.

Confort et propreté
Bien situé près du lac et du centre de cette petite ville, il a satisfait tout à fait nos besoins pour un séjour d'une nuit. Chambre confortable et propre et excellent service. Stationnement gratuit et sécuritaire.

Antiguo pero funcional
El hotel es típico de años 80 con moqueta por todos lados pero esta limpio y tiene los baños reformados.
En las habitaciones hay dos camas de matrimonio y el wifi es rapidísimo y gratuito.
La ubicación es buena aunque el pueblo no es demasiado grande.
Recomendable sin lujos

Buena elección a medio camino entre Queenstown y Milford Sound...
UBICACIÓN:
La ciudad de Te Anau es la última gran población antes de adentrarse en el Fiorland National Park y el hotel Distinction Luxmore, ubicado en la calle principal de la ciudad (es decir, el pleno centro), se encuentra a pocos metros del precioso Lago Te Anau y a un corto paseo del centro de visitantes.
Además, las principales tiendas y supermercados, así como los restaurantes y el cine del pueblo se hallan a poca distancia del hotel (menos de cinco minutos andando hasta el restaurante más lejano).

INSTALACIONES:
A juzgar por la cantidad de comensales que había en los dos restaurantes que posee el hotel, podemos adivinar (aunque no asegurar, pues no lo probamos) que el servicio y la comida eran de calidad.

Por un lado, el Bailiez Cafe & Bar, una acogedora cafetería con chimenea que ofrece desayunos y platos a la carta. Eso sí, no es barato.
La otra opción es el Hilights Restaurant, donde se ofrecen los desayunos buffet del hotel (previo pago de 17 € por persona y día) y cenas (también buffet) con comida típica de un asador.
En lo que respecta al acceso a Internet, cuando nosotros estuvimos había conexión WiFi gratuita (hasta 250 MB) en el bar del hotel, no así en las habitaciones o zonas comunes del hotel (recepción y zona de ordenadores) donde había que pagar 5 dólares neozelandeses por hora de conexión. Sin embargo, según la web del hotel, ahora la conexión WiFi es gratuita e ilimitada.
El parking privado del hotel es gratuito sin lugar a dudas y no es necesario reservar, aunque nosotros no lo utilizamos pues había sitio de sobra en la calle y encontramos un hueco que nos pillaba más cerca de la habitación.

HABITACIONES:
Las 180 habitaciones del hotel se reparten entre las Habitaciones Dobles (Estándar y Superiores), las Habitaciones Familiares y las Suites. Nosotros nos alojamos en una Doble Superior que, con un tamaño más que aceptable, contaba con dos camas dobles, escritorio, zona de estar, minibar, set de té/café, plancha y tabla de planchar, secador de pelo y amenities para el baño.

RESERVA / PRECIO:
Nosotros reservamos una habitación Doble Superior en régimen de Sólo Alojamiento (SA) durante una noche (del 24 al 25 de Diciembre) por 125 dólares neozelandeses, es decir, unos 77 euros al cambio de entonces.

EN RESUMEN:

PROS:
- El personal de la recepción es muy amable y eficiente, sobre todo a la hora de hacer el checkout, a pesar de la acumulación de clientes que dejábamos el hotel temprano porque íbamos a pasar el día en Milford Sound.
- La localización del hotel es estupenda, en el centro de la ciudad, con restaurantes, tiendas y supermercados en las inmediaciones, así como el bonito lago Te Anau.
- Además, al estar a medio camino entre Queenstown y Milford Sound, es perfecto si no te gusta madrugar demasiado o no quieres conducir durante cuatro horas seguidas hasta el fiordo.

CONTRAS:
- Los precios de las cartas en los dos restaurantes nos parecieron un poco excesivos. Te recomendamos que pases del desayuno buffet y compres algo en el supermercado. Tampoco era barato, pero sí mejor que pagar 17 euros por persona para desayunar.

Para pasar la noche camino a Milford Soun
Hotel de nivel medio con lo suficiente para estar comodo una noche en ruta . El pueblo de Te Anau tiene su encanto a orillas del lago . Alguna calle principal con restaurantes y comercios. El hotel sirve como escala entre Queenstown y Milford Sound para evitar un viaje de 4 horas en cada direccion . Basico nada mas .
