Definitely not a 4 star hotel
Our stay in this hotel was not bad at all however I expected more from 4 stars...

Pros:
- Very friendly and helpful staff!
- Close to the beach
- 2 Swimming pools
- Bar with seats next to the beach
- Train station only 10 mins away (1,5h away from Barcelona, trains are very frequent so no need to worry about catching the train on time!)
- Buffet style meals

Cons:
- The rooms are dated and look like a motel (we paid extra for our room hoping it would be exceptional - it wasn't.
The walls were cracked and the wallpaper was pilling off showing stains underneath.
Dead bugs on the ceiling in the bathroom with bloody stains...
- All inclusive doesn't mean all inclusive - you still have to pay for the food at the beach bar and for nice drinks (only very simple drinks were available in all inclusive but forget about Aperol Spritz or nice cocktails...)
- Bathroom was clean enough however it looked dated and the toilet pipe was fixed with cement! There was water leaking underneath the toilet anyway...
- Food was average - some meals were REALLY good and some were not, for example bacon had lots of bones pieces inside
- Sunbeds were all broken - had to get up carefully to not get my skin caught between the plastic bits.

Overall it was a pleasant stay however I expected more from 4 stars hotel...

If you are looking for 4 star hotel with actual 4 stars then look somewhere else however if you are not fussy then this hotel ticks the boxes.
Would suggest booking hotel stay with breakfast only and spend the rest of the day somewhere else.

Our 5th return visit to Htop Royal Sun hotel on the beach in Sunny Santa Susanna
We have been revisiting this hotel over the last 14 years. There is good reason for this, let me start by saying it is only a 3 star hotel & that is why you only pay a 3 star price for AI. However do not let that put you off. The food is exceptional and if you are a real foodie & are open to cusine from this Catalan region you will not be disappointed. Breakfast lunch and dinner is all served buffet style with so much choice at every meal everything from typical Paella to chorizo & Spanish black pudding to chicken in delicious sauces to freshly carved pork ribs. Fresh salad at every meal. Continental breakfast traditional fry up. There is of course chips and hotdogs of course if you really didn’t want to try any of the delicious offerings, but you would be mad not to give it a try! Locally produced plenty of vegetarian options you will not go hungry. Yes rooms are dated but very comfortable & clean. Location on the beach. Staff very welcoming from the start. Restaurant staff all work so hard and deserve a mention. We have eaten out on a few occasions but not found anything as nice as in the hotel. If you want a day at the shops I would recommend Caella lovely boutiques, restaurants & tapas bars. 2 stops on the train. The station is 10 min walk away & cost 5 euro return. I and I have to mention the little tourist train it was the first time we got on it this year, I won’t tell you where it goes but you won’t be disappointed so just go with it!! For 5 euros it’s 40 mins well spent. We got off it in the old square of Santa Susanna where you can find on various days a flea and antique market,

Hôtel à l'écoute et au service de ses clients
Hôtel un peu vétuste mais impeccablement propre et le personnel est aux petits soins avec les clients. Nous étions un groupe de 63 personnes dont 58 jeunes de 18 ans. Tout a été fait pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible : ouverture du restaurant plus tôt ou plus tard selon nos contraintes de déplacement, mise à la disposition d'un chambre pour se changer et se rafraichir avant le retour en car, pique-nique fait en fonction des régimes alimentaires,... Le buffet est exceptionnel par sa variété, la qualité de ses mets et le réassort. Bref, un hôtel à recommander pour les groupes qui désirent séjourner près de Barcelone. Un tout grand merci à l'équipe de l'hôtel pour votre accueil.

Not good
The staff on reception was horrible and rude when we arrived we had been travelling for 4 hours with children who all had enough and just wanted to relax the man on reception made booking in hard work foe us all once we found our rooms they was dated and had funny smell in them we was given a sea view witch was the only good thing about this stay entertainment was in Spanish we are English so made it very hard to understand anything no on really spoke any English so we was made to feel left out food didn't look the best and wasn't a lot for the children to eat so we didn't eat here all in all we wouldn't stay here again it is not a 4 star hotel

Staff are looking at you like if you owe them a fortune. Restaurant food ok and staff in the restaurant are friendly in all fearnes. Honestly don't be fooled it's not even close to 3 star . Night entertainment isn't great and it's only in Spanish so no point to be sitting there if you don't understand what it is about. Never again.

Disappointed
The worst hotel we’ve ever been, room full of ants , food all the time the same, pool was dirty, staff very rude and looking line they gave us for free when we paid fir the services, the bed uncomfortable and the balcony door didn’t work properly and yeah… very hot inside the air conditioning didn’t work at all…. The only nice part eas the 🏖️ beach…and thats it…

Necesita reformas para actualizarlo.
Su ubicación es muy buena, el trato del personal bien (el del comedor excelente) y la comida también bien.
La habitación con mobiliario muy antiguo y con remiendos, la puerta del baño deshecha en su parte inferior, manchas de pintura en: mobiliario, puertas, azulejos, rodapiés, etc., bañera con desconchones.
Hormigas en el baño todos los días.
Limpieza escasa e incompleta y en días de muchas salidas de viajeros tarde y mal.
Regular el agua para ducharse es muy complicado.
Se oyen todos los ruidos del exterior y en las que dan para la vía del tren tienen el inconveniente que el primero pasa sobre las 6 de la mañana.
Las instalaciones comunes están bien.

Lors d’un voyage scolaire nous avons pu remarquer l’incroyable flexibilité des horaires et le sens d’adaptation du personnel. En effet les membres de l’équipe ont retardé leurs horaires d’ouverture/fermetures afin de nous permettre d’accéder à l’espace de restauration ( nous étions un grand groupe de 50 donc avec des contraintes de déplacement ). Un grand merci à eux pour leur serviabilité !!

Un super hôtel pour notre groupe
Un établissement très agréable pour notre groupe de 54 dont une majorité de jeunes gens. Mention spéciale aux personnels de la réception et du restaurant qui trouvent des solutions à toutes nos petites difficultés d’horaire ou d’alimentation. Merci ++++++++++++++++

Un hôtel toujours propre. Un personnel accueillant et sympathique. Le service de cet hôtel est excellent. Les chambres sont entretenue durant l'absence des clients afin d'avoir une chambre propre. Une bonne ambiance dans l'hôtel.....

Je n’ai pas séjourné à l’hôtel en revanche j’ai eu l’honneur de déjeuner au restaurant sur la plage de Santa Susanna. J’ai commandé un Mojito et une salade de chèvre chaud aux fruits rouges, ce qui fût une grande première et une grande découverte pour moi. C’était tout simplement délicieux! A 8,50€ la salade, un prix tres compétitif pour un restau bord de plage. Je reviendrai avant mon départ et je recommande ce restaurant

Una pasada
Por 80€ persona y noche con el "todo incluido" no se puede pedir mas. Es verdad que el hotel puede ser mas moderno pero por ese precio no tiene competencia. Comiendo todo el dia y bebiendo sin parar. Jimy i Francisco del comedor son una pasada y los trabajadores en general muy competentes y amables. Un 10. La ubicacion delante de la playa es inmejorable no como la mayoria de los otros hoteles que estan en el paseo y tienen que traspasar las vias del tren y andar un rato para llegar, nosotros la teniamos delante mismo.

Agradecemos sus amables palabras sobre nuestro personal, especialmente Jimy y Francisco del comedor, y nos complace que haya disfrutado de la comida y bebida durante su estancia.

Es cierto que algunas instalaciones del hotel podrían ser más modernas, pero estamos trabajando en ello y planeamos una remodelación total en un futuro próximo. Apreciamos su comprensión y nos complace que haya tenido una experiencia positiva en general.

Sería muy grato volver a hospedarle en un futuro cercano.

Malaaa
No nos gustó nada las habitaciones muy antiguas la comida lo único que valía la pena era el arroz y el hotel no se le puede considerar un cuatro estrellas estado en hoteles de tres estrellas que le dan 1000 patadas

Muy recomendable!!
Atención del personal de 10, todos muy atentos. Hemos comido muy bien. El hotel se ve un poco anticuado pero no tiene ninguna importancia por lo bien que hemos estado. Actividades de día y noche muy entretenidas. Fotos desde mi habitación.

Necesita reforma
Lo máximo sin duda los camareros del bufet creo se llama Francisco y Hamed son dos grandes profesionales en su servicio atentos y serviciales al máximo el hotel en sí aparte de ellos necesita una buena reforma las fotos se ven de una manera y luego es otra

Ha sido un placer recibirle y apreciamos su reconocimiento a la atención recibida, en especial de los camareros del buffet Francisco y Hamed quienes se sentirán muy complacidos de su amable comentario. Estamos orgullosos del personal por su desempeño y el trato cordial que tienen con cada huésped.

Acerca de su percepción de una necesidad de renovación de las instalaciones, queremos mencionar que tenemos prevista una remodelación total en un futuro próximo. Hotel FLOP Royal Sun
Scelto come alloggio per il nostro viaggio di 5o anno, l'Hotel Top Royal Sun si è dimostrato sin da subito un gran flop in merito alla qualità del cibo, della pulizia, del servizio e delle camere. Non appena si entra nella hall, si avverte una puzza apparentemente di prodotti chimici e di fogna che ti accompagnerà fino al primo piano. Avvicinandosi al banco informazioni si può essere ricevuti da più addetti che parlano o spagnolo, o inglese ma mai entrambe le lingue. Una volta consegnate le chiavi (che hanno un simpatico portachiavi grosso quanto una mano aperta) e saliti nella propria camera si entra in una atmosfera anni '70/'80.. Le camere sono piccole e manca lo spazio per aprire le valige (noi avevamo una singola adattata a tripla), puzzano e sono carenti in pulizia in quanto vi sono evidenti macchie di tracce biologiche non identificate su tutto il letto e per terra; la muffa e l'intonaco cadente sono evidenti (sopra il mio letto c'era una chiazza di muffa lunga almeno 50 cm); il bagno é un quadrato 2X2 metri dove manca l'aerazione, dunque a seguito di una semplice doccia mancherà l'aria e si formerà una cappa di umidità tale da lasciare tutti i muri bagnati. Finita la parte delle camere passiamo alla parte dei pasti a buffet per la quale bastano due aggettivi: scadente e surgelato.. Ogni cosa che vi veniva proposta (dall'antipasto al dolce) era scongelata e servita. Le cameriere in sala sono due e devono gestire una sala veramente grande risultando impreparate per la mole di lavoro. Il servizio per noi riservato era di una bottiglia d'acqua da 1.5L per 4 persone.. Insufficiente. La menzione onorevole va all'addetto alla security che pattuglierà durante le ore notturne il perimetro esterno dell'hotel e, in caso di schiamazzi notturni, entrerà direttamente nella tua camera minacciando di lasciarti in mezzo alla strada... Insomma H-Top Royal Sun di Santa Susanna bocciato.

Orribile.
Hotel situato in una bellissima posizione ma rovinato da personale della reception svogliata e senza un ben arrivati o arrivederci.Caos totale sui piani e nella hall.Camere sporche,praticamente non pulite da mesi. Dicono che wi fi e gratis,ma poi ti chiedono soldi. Ultima cosa il canale rai dove trasmettevano la partita di calcio,era codificato.Non sprecate i vostri soldi in questo albergo.

Das war nichts
Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer dreckig. Essen taugt nichts.Für den gezahlten Preis ist die Leistung sehr schwach. In der Dusche waren noch die Haare des Vorgängers. Würde dorthin auf keinen Fall wieder hin gehen.

Orribile!
Ho trascorso quattro giorni in questo albergo con i miei amici per via di una gita. Che posso dire esperienza orribile! Già quando entri si sente una pizza orribile al piano terra non so spiegare nemmeno di cosa, le stanze che ospitavano quattro persone erano abbastanza spaziose, tranne alcune dov’è davvero non c’era lo spazio nemmeno per spostarsi. La pulizia scandalosa, già quando siamo arrivati non spazzavamo da settimane, polvere e capelli e residui di carte a terra, mentre nei giorni seguenti sistemavano in generale. Gli asciugamani inizialmente erano puliti il terzo giorno ci siamo invece accorti che non li cambiavano in quanto avevamo macchie di make-up ed erano neri. Il cibo un incubo, c’era una vastissima scelta però di scarsa qualità, soltanto poche cose si salvavano ed era tutto a buffet, però nonostante ciò i vassoi erano sempre pieni. Le serate che promettevano erano sempre per i bambini, quindi per i più piccoli c’era sempre l’animazione ma non per i giovani o adulti. Poi un’altra cosa orribile la gente che c’era, erano tutti ubriaconi esagerati, essendo una ragazza ti mettevi paura di girare anche solo nel ascensore in quanto non sapevi cosa potevamo fare, però vabbè questo non dipende dall’hotel. L’unica cosa positiva che c’era era il personale sempre gentile e disponibile. Soprattutto la notte c’era uno della reception di colore nero ha subito stretto amicizia con me e ci divertivamo molto. Un’altra cosa positiva è la security, non c’era sempre ma appena si sentiva troppo chiasso da una stanza o c’era magari qualcuno collassato si presentava e metteva ordine quindi si stava anche più tranquilli. Di fronte all’hotel c’erano molti locali però era più per persone adulte, ma facendo una piccola camminata si trovavano discoteche, ristoranti e gelaterie a non finire. Nel mese di maggio c’era pochissima gente ma credo che in piena estate è un posto molto popolato. Ah un’altra cosa dove cammini cammini trovi sempre dei drogati, Spagna ne è piena, abbiamo incontrato più loro che persone normali. Quindi occhi aperti!

Quizás un grupo de estudiantes esperase otro tipo de “animación” durante su viaje de fin de curso, lamentamos que Santa Susanna o el hotel no fuesen lo que estaba esperando. Pero no podemos aceptar sus comentarios sobre “gente drogada” caminando por la calle, son falsos e insultantes. Santa Susanna es una tranquila población orientada al turismo familiar, lo que usted describe es sencillamente falso.

Capodanno....
Insieme ad altre tre coppie abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni a Capodanno in questa struttura di cui ci siamo trovati molto bene. Le camere e i bagni erano un po datati ma in compenso molto ordinati e puliti. La ristorazione era a buffet molto ricca abbondante e di ottima fattura, mentre al Cenone di Capodanno oltre all'abbondaza e alla raffinata qualità di cibo hanno creato un atmosfera magica coinvolgendo tutti. Al termine del Cenone hanno distribuito Cotillon per tutti con musica spumante e divertimenti aspettando il Nuovo Anno. Esperieza più che positiva sia per Hotel, nonchè la bella localtà e per i luoghi linitrofi visitati. Un Grazie a tutto lo Staff senz'altro ritorneremo.... Grazie grazie!!!

SPLENDIDA GITA SCOLASTICA
Sono stato in gita scolastica a Barcellona, maggio 2016. Esperienza fenomenale. Posizione fantastica,vista meravigliosa, ampia scelta del buffet, camere ben pulite e sistemate ogni mattina. Un pochino distante da Barcellona centro. Unica pecca, il mobilio un po' retrò per i miei gusti. Per il resto tutto perfetto.

In die Jahre gekommenen
Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Abendessen war oft Lauwarm oder gar Kalt. Desserts waren fast immer die gleichen. Kaffee an der Bar ist vielbesser als im Restaurant. Leider hatten wir das Pech eine grössere Schulklasse im Hotel zuhaben die wärend der ganzen Nacht Radau machte.
DIESES HOTEL HAT DRINGEND EINE GENERAL RENOVATION NÖTIG!

War für mich persönlich das zweit schlechteste Hotel bis jetzt in Spanien.
Leider ist das schlechteste Hotel auch ein H-Top Hotel was ich im Nachhinein feststellte.

Einfach nur schrecklich
Ja,es liegt am Meer.Und ja,die Putzfrau kommt und putzt.Aber die Matratze ist einfach schrecklich.Und die Musik auf der anderen Seite der Bahnlinie,eh ja die gibt's auch noch,wird so laut gespielt,das man seine Frau oder den Fernseher nicht hören kann.Es ist ein Hotel mit 4 Sternen
