Hotel Santa Lucia Le Sabbie d'Oro

Ho soggiornato in precedenza in primavera e in più occasioni con meno presenza massiccia di gente: è il periodo migliore ( a maggio ho potuto fare anche il bagno in piscina); la sala ristorante self service è affollata ma il cibo è buono. Purtroppo a luglio la situazione non è stata particolarmente entusiasmante: piscina bassa e affollata, nessuna sdraio libera, schiamazzi, nessuna tranquillità. Buona l'animazione
( gli addetti dimostravano impegno nell'intrattenere le persone). Mare non accattivante e non particolarmente pulito; bisogna recarsi per un lungo tratto a piedi per raggiungere la spiaggia tra l'altro scendendo delle scale da cui si avvertiva cattivo odore di reflui di scarico. Piccoli inconvenienti in stanza però subito risolti. Posizione strategica dell'hotel per raggiungere facilmente in auto o con bus il centro città per godere delle bellezze che essa offre al visitatore.

We had a fantastic holiday. Love the hotel. It's authentic and Italian. We had no complaints about the food; there was plenty of choice. The room was immaculately clean and towels and sheets were changed frequently. We weren't affected by noise - there is a main road just outside but we were able to shut the balcony door at night and keep the air con on.
The pool was lovely and it was peaceful by the pool. Staff were generally friendly - it helps if you can say a few words in Italian, particularly thank you. The staff work hard - all hours.
I sometimes feel embarrassed to be British as the Brits can always find something to complain about.
The weather could not have better and we loved the beach. All tourists were polite, friendly and well behaved.
The 2K walk to Cefalu old town is lovely. The town itself is beautiful and full of culture and beautiful buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and lots of delicious ice cream and cannoli.
I don't know what people want at times.
We would give it 4 stars. Depends what you want of course. Might be different when the kids are off school. We went out of school time.
Can't wait to go back.

This is rather a 2,9* hotel with very outdated infrastructure. No restaurant a la carte. Just simple food serving hall. Poor breakfasts. The bar is quite nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“Hotel beach” is about 130 steps and 10 minutes walk away, without any services (bar, toilet etc).
The only plus is the view, if you get the room overlooking the sea 😀

Les chambres avec vue sur la mer sont bien, grande, espacé et propre. La piscine est magnifique. La salle à manger est grande, par contre c'est un buffet et nous avons eu le droit au même repas 2 jours d'affilés, manque de variété. Il y a un petit café/bar qui connecte avec l'hôtel, les cafés sont délicieux, bon choix de pâtisserie. Juste en face, il y a un petit marché pour faire des petites emplettes.

Cet hôtel comporte deux parties, mais si comme nous vous êtes logés dans l’ancienne section, vous serez déçus: salles de bain malpropres, douches rouillées dont les portes peinent à glisser; moisissures au plafond, mini frigo qui coule et est rouillé, tapis usés dans les corridors.
Belle piscine; accès à l’océan si vous êtes capable de vous déplacer dans des escaliers et alors, belles marches possibles (environ 15 minutes de Cefalu où les plages sont magnifiques).
Restauration vraiment ordinaire et parfois même, peu appétissante: un buffet où les légumes baignent dans l’eau, des desserts mous…Pas une expérience agréable

Nos hospedamos en una habitación hermosa con terraza al mar .
Precioso hotel , con estacionamiento gratuito, la playa privada no queda al lado hay q caminar un poco.
A mi gusto un poco lejos del centro, a la salida del hotel hay una escalera importante , q si bien bajarla es fácil , al volver de la playa se hace cuesta arriba.
El personal no es muy amable , pero correcto.
Desayuno muy completo .

Nice view of the ocean but that was it Hotel needs a total refurbish . It’s very dated. Phone didn’t work in our room hallways dark room is very noisy walls a thin . Train that runs next to it . Breakfast not that good . Would not recommend

In fairness as a couple of empty nesters this wasn't the best choice. If you have young kids you should have a good time. Very noisy everywhere (room, breakfast etc) - seemed to be a Sicilian thing. We stayed over looking the sea, nice balcony lovely view. The downside which we were aware of is you are right by the evening/nightime entertainment. Day time entertainment was poor so we headed to the free beach which was lovely, as mentioned before there are no toilets and is about a 10 min walk . I wouldn't recommended eating there in the evening but breakfast was fine. Cheap supermarket over the road with really good red wines for around 3 euros! Staff at reception helpful, also gelato (amazing) staff friendly, bar staff not so. Nice long walk into Cefalu. Don't do as we did and walk from the train station to the hotel with cases, the pavements come and go and it's an Italian road, just get the bus.

A 4-star hotel that feels more like a 3+.
On the plus side, amazing view of Cefalu from the room balcony, decent-sized rooms and large pool, pleasant walk to the pretty town of Cefalu, nice desserts at the cafe.
On the other hand, the smallest shower ever, dated rooms and bathroom, mediocre, bland and repetitive food, tables not set up for breakfast, no soup ever, limited and repetitive choices for breakfast, one sad fruit choice per meal, only one sad dessert choice per meal, not both.
More than 100 steep steps and a short walk to get to the hotel beach. No beach towels, no toilet, no bar, underwater rocks.
But the worst thing about the hotel was the noise.
Extremely loud animation around the pool at 10-12, 4-6, 9.30 or so-12. Unbearable. Windows did not help at all. All in Italian, with powerful loudspeakers, maximum volume. Twice during our week-long stay they organised events with loud music in the evening only meters away from the animation. Competing music. Absolutely horrible. We had to plan our days aound animation periods in order to avoid the assault on our ears and nerves.
And there are railway tracks right next to the pool and restaurant terrace, close enough to high-five the passengers. Still, incredibly, the noise from the passing trains was nothing compared to the animation noise.

Wir waren in Porto Empedocle auf einer Hochzeit und wollten dann weiter nach Cefalu, um noch Urlaub zu machen. Im Hotel Santa Lucia angekommen, waren wir schnell enttäuscht. Außen hui, innen pfui. Alles alt, die Flure stinken, da der Teppichboden (Teppich in einem Strandhotel?!) noch nie ausgetauscht wurde. Eine komplett verrostete und verschimmelte Dusche auf dem Zimmer Und die Balkontür ließ sich nicht schließen. Mit einem 2 Jährigen Kind unmöglich! Auf Anfrage eines neuen Zimmers, hieß es, alles belegt. Es würde jemand zum reparieren kommen. 3 Stunden später war immernoch keiner da. Als wir uns den Pool uns den Strand anschauten, wurde uns klar:Hier kann kein Kind spielen und laufen. Treppen und Stufen und nochmal Treppen und Stufen. Oder man muss das Auto zum Strand nehmen und dann Parkplatz suchen, Karre rein, raus etc. Das wäre kein Urlaub gewesen. Ich fragte höflich bei der Rezeption, ob wir noch stornieren könnten, obwohl wir schon eingecheckt sind. Der unfreundliche Rezeptionist mit ungepflegten langen Haaren sagte "musst du mit booking klären". Auf booking konnte ich dann unsere 6 Übernachtungen für 2 Zimmer für die Stornierungsgebühr der ersten Nacht stornieren. Das sagte ich an der Rezeption und schon hieß es, "Nein das geht so nicht, 2 Nächte plus Steuer müssten wir zahlen". Also statt 280 Eur Stornierungsgebühr auf einmal über 700 Eur. Eine Frechheit, hat er doch gerade noch gesagt, ich müsste es mit booking klären, was ich gemacht habe....Lange diskutiert mit den beiden unfreundlichen und schlecht geschultem Personal, das nicht einmal Kopfrechnen konnte. Schlussendlich wollten wir nur weg aus diesem Hotel und sind zurück i s wunderschöne Hotel Villa Romana in Porto Empedocle gefahren, dies kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Inolvidable lugar! Volvería muchas veces! La vista de la bahía con su Iglesia tan particular mirando el mar, sus aguas tranquilas y transparentes, además que un sol que no falla…
Excelente desayuno y sus habitaciones confortables, el personal muy atento y cordial, especialmente la calidez de los animadores que hacen pasar buenos momentos a los huéspedes

Das Café Santa Lucía ist zu empfehlen! Wir sind dort morgens gerne frühstücken gegangen! Cornetti waren dort sehr lecker! Anna hat uns mit ihren sehr guten Englisch Kenntnissen und zuvorkommenden Art immer sehr gut bedient.

Hôtel à éviter si vous souhaitez du confort !
Pour commencer on arrive à l’hôtel aucun accueil, personnel froid c’est à peine si on les dérange, attente de 4h pour avoir accès à notre chambre, bonjour les 4h d'attente sans boire ni manger après 2h de vol et 1h20 de route.
Notre chambre enfin prête nous décidons de nous y rendre en chemin nous avons perçu que le faux plafond tienne par « habitude » avec une odeur Nauséabond de cigarette, arrivée dans la chambre, c’est propre comme décrit dans les photos un peu vieillottes, literie soignée hors mettre le matelas dur.
Arrive le dîner du soir nous découvrons un buffet très limité, ce qui m’a étonné car nous avons toujours été dans des hôtels avec un large choix de nourriture, suite quand nous sommes à table les serveurs passent entre les tables ou nous regardent mal, nous avons eu quelques remarques car nous étions apparemment à la mauvaise table alors que nous étions à la bonne ils ont dû le comprendre après quelques jours mais bons...
Fin de soirée nous décidons de nous reposer du moins c’est ce qu’a pensé entre les ronflements du voisin de Gauche, du train, des animations jusqu’à 0h , ou bien les voitures qui klaxonnent sans cesse, les bruits de porte ou de chaise étaient à volonté !
Arrive le petit déjeuner nous a apercevons encore du buffet qui est toujours limité...
Au fil des jours nous nous sommes rendu compte qu'il y avait très peu du moins quasi pas de changement ou de variété dans le menu, sur les 5 présentoirs qui il y avaient 3 était les mêmes le reste était salade bars ( légume etc..) le choix de désert était quasi nul entre une pêche ou un petit gâteau infecte, la totale !
Voilà début de la matinée « détente » préparation pour aller à la piscine, on nous prévient qu’il faut débourser 2€ de bonnet par personne pour avoir accès à la piscine nous décidons d’en acheter moi et ma conjointe, des carrelages coupants ont été aperçus dans la piscine pour enfant ce qui est totalement inacceptable ! Nous décidons de nous reposer les transats bien évidemment cassés et bonjour le repos des animations incessantes et musique forte, nous envisageons de nous baigner alors à la plage et nous voyons que pour avoir accès à la plage il faut descendre 100 marches et marcher 100 mètres pour seulement descendre et encore descendre des marches et pour finalement avoir accès aux cailloux et non au sable qui est beaucoup plus loin après avoir marché entre les cailloux sans nous tordre une cheville nous découvrons la belle surprise que nous sommes sur une plage communale non privée comme dit en agence…

La seule chose plaisante été le paysage de Cefalu et surtout le centre qui est très plaisant avec toute sa vallée de magasin et de rue telle une carte postale , ceci a été notre seul point positif de ce voyage.

Cet hôtel ne mérite que 2 étoiles !
Il ne pense qu'à l’argent et non au confort de leur clientèle, c’est une usine à touriste je ne recommande pas du tout cet hôtel si vous désirez du confort !

Alors niveau nourriture ce n'est pas exceptionnel mais niveau occupation avec de l'animation matin après midi et soir exceptionnel c'est la seul raison où je mets un 4 etoiles c'est grâce a l'équipe UPPEAL!

llamo al hotel para cancelar la reservacion ,y me responden que solo a travez de esta direccion de e-mail.
A la cual desde El sabado 03/07/2021 estamos enviando El email para la cancelacion que aun estamos en El rango que Sea gratis y no responden .
hoy es 06/07/2021.
Vuelvo a llamar para cancelar y explicar que no me han respondido.
y me responden que tengo que esperar minimo 10 Dias.
conclucion le explico que si ellos esperan 10 Dias para contestarme y cancelar mi reservacion pasa El tiempo que ellos tienen establecido Como CANCELACION GRATIS.
Me dicen de esperar un email.
CONCLUSION:
Para reservar piden El dinero rapido y para cancelar por un problema de salud que han tenido mis amistades (Covid)
No me pudieron cancelar la reservacion ....
Ellos le han escrito 3 emails y nada de respuesta.
Y a mi me colgaron El telefono.
mucha falta de profesionalidad .
Al extremo ...
Si un cliente desea cancelar por un problema de salud no lo hacen ...En El tiempo establecido para quedarse con un por ciento...
Y es increible que por telefono una cancelacion no se pueda hacer....

LADRONES.

Mittags- und Abendbuffet waren sehr einfallslos und karg. Kaum Auswahl. Die Speisen waren meist geschmacksneutral.Die Teller und das Besteck waren richtig schmutzig! Eine Frechheit so etwas den Gästen vorzusetzen! In den 8 Tagen, die wir dort verbrachten, waren 3 Hochzeitsfeiern und somit bis in die Morgenstunden nicht an Schlaf zu denken! Wir mussten aufgrund eines familiären Notfalles 1 Woche früher abreisen. Auf unsere Nachfrage, ob wir nicht etwas Geld zurückerhalten könnten, war ein klares Nein die Antwort. Der Pool war schön, die morgendliche Wassergymnastik hat mir auch gefallen. Positiv kann ich noch hervorheben, dass die Aussicht auf Cefalu`von unserem Zimmer aus bombastisch war! Das war dann aber leider auch schon alles! Cefalu`ist ein richtig tolles Städtchen, aber das Hotel kann man wirklich nicht guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war angenehm. Vor allem der Pool und der Poolbereich war sehr sauber. Der Verantwortliche dort versteht seinen Job. Die Liegen waren sauber und nicht kaputt. Leider ist keine Umkleidemöglichkeit vorhanden, so dass man mit seinen nassen Klamotten durch das ganze Hotel zum Zimmer laufen muß.
Super war auch die hoteleigene Konditorei. Ein Latte Macchiato kostete 1,50€ und ein große Kanne Tee 2,50 €. Die Stückchen, das Eis und der Kuchen waren ein Genuss.
Schade, dass das Frühstück dem gar nicht entsprach. Trockenes Weißbrot, keine Wurst, immer den selben geschmacklosen Käse. Der O-Saft war Zuckerwasser. Ne, das war nix. Wir haben dann immer in der Konditorei gefrühstückt.
Das Abendbuffet war für den Preis ok. Kantinenniveau, geschmacklich i.O.
Ein guter Preis muß auch nicht immer auch ein gutes Zimmer bedeuten. Das erfuhren wir hier.
Wir buchten 4 Tage DZ/HP bei Stayforlong für 340 €. Unser zugeteiltes Zimmer war aber eher viertklassig. Das hatten wir nicht gerade erwartet.
Der Balkon war total verdreckt und man befand sich am äußersten Ende des Hotels mit Ausblick auf einen staubigen Parkplatz. Nachdem wir aber das Bad sahen, packten wir schnell wieder ein, und gingen zur Rezeption. Wir wurden während unseren jetzigen Vortrags sehr unfreundlich und abweisend behandelt. Das setzte sich dann später auch beim Hotelmanager fort.
Es ging darum, dass der Zustand unserer Dusche unzumutbar war. Dusch-und Handbrause waren total verdreckt, verstopft und bedeckt mit grün-gelben Zeugs, was sich im Laufe der Jahre gebildet haben muss. Jahrelang wurde hier jedenfalls nichts gereinigt.
Wer weiß, was für Krankheitserreger sich noch darunter befanden. Duschen konnte man hier jedenfalls nicht.
Wir bestanden auf ein anderes Zimmer. Der Weg bis dahin war sehr steinig und für uns unverständlich. Spielte man doch ständig den Zustand herunter und äußerte, dass das normal sei. Das Zeug würde sich am Plastik bilden. Wir jedenfalls haben so etwas weltweit noch nicht gesehen.
Dafür gibt es nur ein " Entschuldigung ". Aber das Wort haben wir leider nicht gehört.
Natürlich hatten wir mit dem TAB auch Libis gefertigt, um den Zustand nachzuweisen.
Ggü. des Hotels war ein Supermarkt, eine Tankstelle und eine Bushaltestelle. Der Bus fuhr alle halbe Stunde in die Stadt bis zum Bahnhof ( 10 min ) und von dort aus auch wieder zurück.
Eine 90 min Rundfahrt kostete 1,40 €. In 25 min. ist man aber auch gelaufen.
Halt meist auf der Straße, weil Gehwege fehlen.
Auch über die Promenade, die man sehr schön direkt vom Poolbereich aus über Treppen erreichen kann, gelangt man zu Fuß in die Stadt. (ca. 25 min).
Hier gibt es auch einen Waschsalon. 5 € (Waschmittel schon inklusive). Trocknen 1 € pro Gang. Sehr schön für Reisende, die privat auf einer Inselrundreise sind und waschen müssen.
Alles in allem kann man Cefalu empfehlen. Man trifft überall nette und hilfsbereite Menschen.
Negative Dinge im Hotel kann man beseitigen.

Es un hotel gigante, de 2 cuerpos, eso lo hace algo bullicioso, pero no era ruidoso en nuestra area, contratamos una habitacion cuadruple, con vista al mar y a Cefalu, en un quinto piso, con un balcon de vidrio que no quita vista, en el segundo bloque del hotel, que es el mas alejado de la piscina. Nuestra experiencia fue muy buena, el baño y la habitacion amplios, el balcon hermoso. La pileta era chica para la cantidad de gente albergada, era linda, con musica, con servicio de bar, pero con mucha gente, el tren pasaba cerca, pero no hace nada de ruido, ni te enteras. El hotel tiene salida al mar,por un pasadizo por debajo del tren y por escaleras, bajar es facil, subir es otra historia, ahi mismo la playita es muy acogedora, si sigues caminando el hotel te ofrece servicio de playa. El hotel tiene una estructura linda, el bar es muy completo, el desayuno amplio y rico. Desventaja: es muy grande, mucha gente en todos lados.

Si buscas comodidad, este es tu hotel. Nosotro estuvimos agusto, porque la habitacion tenia un baño muy grande, renovado y limpio, ademas de una cama muy grande y comoda y una terraza espectacular con vistas a la piscina y Cefalu. Precioso.
Lo unico que tienes una larga caminata de 20 minutos por el paseo hasta el pueblo, pero la caminata es muy bonita.
Tiene acceso directo a la playa y sus propias tumbonas en la calita privada y la piscina es fantastica.
Lo unico que no nos gusto fue la comida, desayuno y cena de buffet pero muy escaso, no habia casi variedad de nada, no productos tipicos ni comidas tipicas, ni posibilidad de escoger, demasiado escaso.
El ultimo dia tuvimos que irnos a laver cafeteria de arriba que era maravillosa y en la que si habia variedad de todonada y pagarnos unos cafes, teniamos el desayuno incluido pero la cola para elcafe y el zumo no bajaba y llevabamos 30 min esperando. Demasiaada gente.
