Pictures are proof!
The beds inside the rooms are awful. Despite showing pictures to management (Mr Girdhari), they did not care nor change the room.
There is no power in the shower. This hotel does not match the quality of the price paid.

Having said that, restaurant staff and house keeping were extremely helpful. However I believe the management really require some further training in customer services, if staff under them can, why can't management.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel only for food and beverages, not overnight stay. The rooms are extremely cramped, dirty beds with strands of hairs (see photos attached) and Luke warm water.

June Family Trip
Five of my family members stayed at Mayfair for two nights in the middle of June 2024. Our stay was extremely pleasant. The staff was courteous and took good care of my parents who are senior citizens. The Anderson rooms were clean, the lift worked. The hotel landscape was well maintained. The breakfast buffet had a wide spread.

Excellent stay.
From the moment we checked in, everyone was so attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was modern and well-stocked. The dining experience was exceptional. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious. The hotel's location is perfect, right on Mall Road and close to all the major attractions. The atmosphere is serene, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed the tranquil surroundings and lovely view from our room. Kudos to the team who made our stay memorable."

Mayfair Darjeeling
Our darjeeling mayfair trip was from 26th may -29th may. Mayfair darjeeling is small property when compared to the other properties of the group. We had stayed in Anderson block. The plus point of this block wS that the kids room is in this block and the minus point is thar there is no view from the room.
The first day we arrived during hi-tea. They were serving masala muri and popcorn..
Our package included breakfast and dinner. Our first dinner was on 26th and the spread was not much when compared to mayfair siliguri or raipur nor was breakfast that great . We raised this issue and to my wonder their chef and F&B GUYS took special effort and gave us personally curated options.. special mention of CHEF ABU, MR. Bhuman and Mr. PRAVEEN. They made our stay very royal. They took extra effort and provided us with our liking and taste of cuisine. They even made us a small anniversary cake which was yummilicious.. overall our stay was very nice and that little effort from their side was enthralling.

Revenu une fois de plus dans cet établissement,la qualité de l’accueil et de la nourriture est légendaire.
Il faut bien sûr relativiser en fonction du lieu et des impératif liés à Darjeeling…
Le volume d’eau chaude dans certaines chambres est à revoir à la hausse...et le feu dans la cheminée des chambres,un réel bonheur pour moi,implique,c’est évident,une odeur de charbon et de pétrole.
Très bien situé et à l’écart des klaxons...
Peut-être arrêter de combler chaque vide du jardin par des objets en plastique complètement kitch serait une heureuse initiative…

Ordentliches Hotel
In guter Lage, kein Lärm durch hupende Autos . Der Eingangsbereich ist kaum zu übertreffen, wenn es um Kitsch geht.
Die Zimmer sehr nett, alles sauber und funktioniert. Auch die Hotelküche konnte an zwei Abenden überzeugen.

Gutes Hotel in guter Lage
Das Mayfair Hill in Darjeeling hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das gesamte Hotel ist im Kolonialstil eingerichtet, die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr gemütlich und man hat bei klarem Wetter eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Berge.
Da es nachts noch ziemlich kalt war, wurden die Zimmer mit elektrischen Heizkörpern beheizt, leider waren die Fenster in unserem Zimmer ziemlich undicht und es wurde nicht wirklich warm. Da waren die Wärmeflaschen abends im Bett doch sehr willkommen.
Das Bad war sehr sauber und ausreichend groß.
Die Bar im Hotel ist klein ,aber sehr behaglich, man sollte allerdings sehr genau auf die Preise achten! Als wir einen Campari mit Orangensaft bestellten wurde uns schlappe 25 Euro berechnet. Bei uns kostet das als Longdrink vielleicht 8 Euro!
Das Abendessen gibt es in Buffetform, man kann aber auch "à la Carte" essen. Das Buffet ist reichhaltig und vielfältig, lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Das Frühstück gab es ebenfalls in Buffetform und genau wie beim Abendessen hat man eine große Auswahl. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Außerdem hat das Mayfair Hill eine sehr gute Lage, man ist in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß am Chowrasta Platz.

Étape très indienne
Le groupe Darjeeling a plusieurs hôtels a l’est de l’Inde. La décoration des parties communes est très kitch (statues d’animaux de BD et personnages de Disney et pelouse synthétique). Grand confort dans les chambres et service impeccable. La clientèle etant principalement indienne, ne pas hésiter à demander des plats moins épicés au restaurant si besoin. Jolie vue sur Darjeeling de la chambre et point de vue à 5 min de l’hôtel pour admirer les grands sommets par temps clair (pas besoin de se lever à 3 h du matin pour aller à Tiger Hill avec les hordes de touristes).

Bellísimo hotel en Darjeeling
Es un hermoso hotel, muy acogedor, con decoración exquisita, de estilo inglés, con habitaciones con vista a los Himalayas, un restaurant bello y con muy buena atención, una biblioteca acogedora. A 100 mts hay un mirador, que si está despejado, se puede ver Kanchenjunga. Iria mil veces ahí!

Spitzenhotel in englischem Kolonialstil
Top Service trotz schwieriger Zeiten. Nach einem dreimonatigen Generalstreik hatte das Hotel wieder geöffnet.

Die Ausstattung ist exklusiv und die Zimmer sehr schön.

Der Service und das Essen war wirklich wunderbar.

Un placer inglés, con vista preciosa a los Himalayas
Viajamos con mi esposo y mis dos hijos adolescentes y lo amamos apenas entrar. Su acceso permite ir descubriendo a medida que se ingresa los detalles en decoración, incluyendo altares y zonas con terraza para apreciar gran parte de Darjeeling.
La comida excepcional y para occidentales que no acostumbramos tanto a la comida picante existió siempre voluntad del Chef para hacernos sentir acogidos.
Las dependencias para juegos de salon (incluyendo algunos típicos de India), más rincones simplemente para sentarse en silencio a observar la maravillosa vista son especialmente hermosos y bien cuidados.
En los dormitorios un té de calidad y cafe, que sumados a artículos de hermosa presentación en los baños, detalles como sandalias (ojotas) para circular dentro de la cabaña y el sentir que se tenía un pequeño living dormitorio desde el cual cada mañana teníamos una vista hermosa para disfrutar.
El timbre de cada habitación en la zona nueva a la que se accede por una escalera es imitando sonido de pájaros locales, detalles y más detalles.
Finalmente a disposición un té de cortesía al llegar, siempre una sonrisa, un paraguas a disposición si llovía, hacen sentir que uno está como en casa.
Su cercanía a diversas zonas de interés lo hace interesante para salir a caminar o muy temprano o por la tarde-noche, donde las vistas van cambiando constantemente.
Volveríamos siempre!

Un enchantement
C'est un hôtel récemment rénové qui est un véritable havre de paix .
Il y a des fleurs partout et on se croirait dans un chalet en Suisse !
Les chambres sont spacieuses, entièrement en bois et très chaleureuses .
Mais je déconseille la chambre 217 car elle est en contre-bas de la route et juste en face d'un chemin!
Le petit déjeuner est intéressant et très complet à condition d'aimer la nourriture salée car le choix de pain et de choses sucrées est très limité!
Par contre le buffet est très bon!

Service parfait et réception efficace pour résoudre les problèmes de réservation ou de déplacement
Eau chaude en permanence et chauffage d'appoint, ce qui n'est pas toujours évident à Darjeeling

Kolonial und Kitsch
Sehr schön mit Blick auf , und fußläufig zum Zentrum Darjeelings gelegenes koloniales Hotel. Bei gutem Wetter auch sicher schöner Blick in die Lanschaft. Leider unfassbar viel schlimmer Kitsch an jeder freien Ecke im Garten. Zimmer ausreichend groß. Frühstück und Abendessen (Büffet) reichhaltig immer verschieden, aber immer gut. Der "Observatory Hill" ist in 2-3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

L'hotel le plus luxueux de Darjeeling.Très grande chambre avec boiseries et feu ouvert.
Plusieurs séjours dans cet hotel ne m'ont jamais déçus.les chambres sont vastes et agréables si vous prenez une vue sur les collines.
Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné.La cuisine indienne y est somptueuse,assez piquante.Le chef est excellent et l'hygiène impecable.(seul endroit de l'inde où j'ose manger des glaces…)
Très bien situé,au calme et à 5 minutes de la vue sur le Kanchejunga…10 minutes de Chowrasta et loin du bruit des voitures.
S'endormir le soir devant un grand feu et les pieds sur le tweed des bouillotes.…un bonheur.

Ricco di fascino
Forse può sembrare un po' kitch per gli arredi presenti nei giardini e nelle parti comuni, ma è comunque un hotel molto confortevole e ricco di fascino, arredato in stile retro pur essendo dotato di tutti i confort moderni (wifi gratuito in camera compreso). Ampia scelta al buffet per i pasti.

un exquisito placer en los Himalayas
No solamente esta estrategicamente bien ubicado, colgado de la montaña, con vistas increibles, sino que todo es fantastico, cada detalle esta innmensamente cuidado y es de buen gusto. desde la arquitectura y el mobiliario ingleses en perfectisimo estado de conservacion tanto en cada amplia suite como en exteriores, hasta la amabilidad de todo el personal. La cocina es super gourmet con muchas opciones diferentes para cenar cada dia. Todo exquisito y el lugar donde se cena y se desayuna tambien muy acogedor

atmosfera old england fra tea e antichi treni a vapore...
durante il nostro recente viaggio fra india e buthan la nostra prima tappa e'stata a darjeeling, patria del famoso tea e del famoso trenino patrimonio unesco ... l'hotel offre una sistemazione di grande fascino essendo ubicato in una antica dimora appartenuta prima agli inglesi poi ad un maraja . ora la struttura e' stata completamente rimaneggiata e ampliata , ma gode comunque di grande fascino , anche grazie allo splendido giardino di cui dispone , che permette agli ospiti di rifugiarsi dal caos e dallo smog della convulso traffico locale. buono il ristorante con menu alla carta e a buffet '. molto professionale e gentile il personale e' ubicato sia vicino al belvedere che alla zona centrale della citta' dove si puo' fare una passeggiata nella zona pedonale e vedere negozietti e ristorantini

Hermoso hotel
Es un hermoso hotel con una decoración inglesa muy bonita, muy cuidado, linda habitación, buenos productos en el baño.
Encontré que le estaría faltando piscina, jacuzzi o spa para darle excelente.
Bien ubicado, con lindas vistas desde el restaurante.

La mejor opción en Darjeeling
Excelente hotel y situación inmejorable. Servicio excelente. Instalaciones muy confortables. Vistas magníficas. Restaurante y menús variados, siempre dispuestos a preparar platos si lo que hay en el self service no te satisface o no lo quieres picante. Disponen de wifi gratuito. A la salida del sol puedes caminar hacia la colina y en 5 minutos y tener unas vistas impresionantes del Kanchenchunga.

Un oasi rilassante
Sono stata in questo hotel come ultima tappa di un lungo viaggio tra il Buthan e l'India. Ci son capitata proprio bei giorni del terremoto in Nepal che si è sentito anche qui. Il personale è stato meraviglioso nel farvi sentire al sicuro. Ottimo cibo, stanze enormi e confortevoli. Ambientazione amena. Sicuramente da tenere in considerazione

Hotel in Kollonialstil
Superhotel mit Flair , Komfort und Spitzenservice in toller Umgebung.
Der sehr gut erhaltene Kolonialstil strahlt Ruhe und Behaglichkeit aus.
Die Küche ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Sehr schöne, individuell eingerichtete Zimmer und in den Aufenthaltsräumen spürt kan man noch
die alten Zeiten nachempfinden.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt !!!!

Lusso e tea
Una sistemazione davvero elegante e raffinata nella patria del tea indiano. In origine è stata una residenza di un Maharaja e la configurazione, l' arredamento e lo charme sono davvero di altissimo livello. Camere spaziose e di classe con caminetto , il servizio di altissimo livello una cucina a buffet varia, abbondante e raffinata, una colazione eccellente sono gli aspetti più appaganti di un soggiorno davvero indimenticabile.

Atmosfera coloniale nella patria del Tea
L’hotel è situato su un versante della collina che ospita la città di Darjeeling.
E’ una struttura molto particolare, suddivisa principalmente in due costruzioni articolate su più livelli.
Le camere sono bellissime: spaziose, arredate con stile sobrio ma di classe e sapientemente illuminate; il bagno è sufficientemente ampio.
I comodissimi letti hanno lenzuola di buon tessuto.
Il caminetto, che a richiesta viene acceso dal personale, è una vera chicca.
L’atmosfera dell’albergo è molto raffinata e calda, il personale estremamente professionale e discreto: tutte le aree comuni sono perfettamente tirate a lucido da inservienti in continua attività.
I pasti, a buffet, vengono consumati in due ampie sale; il cibo è molto abbondante e gustoso, e le portate variano di giorno in giorno.
E’ un ottimo albergo in cui vale la pena soggiornare per qualche giorno.
