Welcoming reception and elegant, modern rooms
Andrea was a superstar welcoming us late in the evening when I walked in looking for a room with my tired family. He found the perfect room for us. It was spacious, elegant, and felt like home. I would definitely stay in this hotel again! Just 5 min by car from the center of town.

Hotel perfetto
Hotel eccellente, ben posizionato proprio di fronte alla stazione centrale di Bologna.
Servizi al top, personale gentilissimo ed delicatissimi.
Stanze comode con varie opzioni.

Located in downtown Bologna...near the train station.. .. Nice rooms, beds. also nice lounge/bar for relaxing. great breakfast buffet.. easy walk to city center... lots of shops and restaurants! It is a college town so lots of students about.

Ok ma si può migliorare
Le stanze sono molto ampie ma l’arredamento un po’ old style. Una rimodernata sarebbe necessaria.
La colazione un po’ monotona ma accettabile.
Benché davanti alla stazione, non si sentono rumori grazie ad una perfetta insonorizzazione .

Super Lage
Klassisches Stadt- und Kongresshotel ohne speziellen Schick. Freundlicher Empfang. Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer gegen einen Hinterhof. Ein kleiner Defekt sowie ein Wunsch (Kissen-Menü) wurden umgehend erledigt. Mässiges Frühstücksbüfett! Ideale Ausgangslage für Stadterkundungen zu Fuss. Nur drei Schritte vom Bahnhof entfernt.

Very nice hotel but far from the center
This was a very nice hotel. We stayed in joined rooms. One of the communicating doors stayed open but the other didn’t. Hotel was modern and comfortable. Our bathroom was a bit odd though. The toilet was flush against the vanity tower rail which meant the towels were touching the toilet and when you sat you had to rest your arm on the rail. So odd because there was room to place the toilet better. Shower had the tiniest glass screen I ever saw. Maybe 2ft (60cm) which means it was impossible to take a shower without splashing water all over the bathroom. Bathroom on the other room had none of these issues. Wi-Fi was decent.
Breakfast was great and plentiful. Only issue was that you had to ask the waiters for any hot beverage. I would prefer to have a machine even though the beverages they made were superior. The waiting is what’s annoying. Not much fruit available.
We dined at the restaurant too. Food was great. Only issue was we had to wait 40min (!) for a tiramisu that seemed to be taken straight out of the fridge. Can’t understand the wait time. I even pulled the waiter aside twice to check what was the hold up. In the end they comped it but it was still odd since the rest of the meal came out reasonably fast.
The hotel is right in front of the train station so if you’re traveling it’s convenient. But keep in mind that as with train areas in other cities it has some questionable people hanging around all day. Didn’t feel unsafe though. For expiring the city I would say it’s not very convenient as it’s a mile (1.5km) away from any attraction. The area in the city center is nicer.

Sehr zu Empfehlen
Zum zweiten mal habe ich dieses Hotel benutzt während meinem Aufenthalt in Bologna. Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Hauptbahnhof von Bologna, man kann innerhalb von 10-15min alle wichtigen Plätze erreichen. Das Hotel bietet alles was man wünscht während einem Kurzaufenthalt, die Zimmer sind zwar nicht die modernsten, haben aber alles was man wünscht oder braucht. Ebenfalls ist das Hotel nicht ringhörig und man kann die Nächte in Ruhe verbringen. Dank Doppelfenster hört man weder die Strasse noch den Bahnhof. Ich würde das Hotel sich jedem empfehlen. Aus meinem ersten Aufenthalt weiss ich auch dass das Hotel auch über einen bewachten Parkplatz verfügt.

Ottimo hotel in ottima posizione
Abbiamo prenotato per una notte e ci è stato fatto l upgrade che abbiamo molto apprezzato!
Tutto il personale molto cordiale e disponibile, camera grande e confortevole,colazione ottima e abbondante,hotel splendido!

Awfull experience
Because its located near the train station, tons of homeless people and crime. Smells like one big urine pool.
Then when you check out they tell you you have to pay city taxes, almost 40 euro.
Not the hotel nor booking mentioned city taxes before or on original booking.
I can’t believe this days they use minibar, and more to that they spread snacks outside too so you think it’s complementary but its not!!!
To top this they tried to charge me for mini bar charges I didn’t use.
Bathroom was terrible, shower cord short, and all water spray out.
Stayed for 5 nights, breakfast was exactly the same each day. Bread was 2-3 days old, cakes and croissants where dry.

To sum it up, very disappointed!

Buono
Bell'hotel, non del tutto confortevole per la temperatura della camera. Non so se fosse solo la mia, ma il condizionatore non era usabile con aria fredda e in camera ci sono stati 24-25 gradi fissi tutta notte. Ci volevano dare un ventilatore, ma non so quanto avrebbe risolto. Per il resto ottima la posizione e ipersonale molto disponibile.

Abbiamo trascorso un febbraio piuttosto anomalo con notevoli sbalzi di temperatura esterna anche vistosi tra un giorno e l’altro, creando qualche difficoltà nel settaggio delle temperature, in considerazione anche delle esigenze di parte della clientela che segnalava al contrario situazioni di freddo in camera. In inverno solo gli impianti di riscaldamento sono in funzione e dalla camera è possibile in ogni momento intervenire regolando il termostato e la velocità della ventola oppure spegnendo entrambi completamente.
La ringraziamo inoltre per quanto di positivo, che ci riguarda, ha voluto indicare nel suo commento, con l'auspicio che si ripresentino presto ulteriori occasioni di poterla accogliere presso lo Starhotels Excelsior.

Hotel di classe
Senza dubbio scelto per la posizione super centrale affacciato sulla piazza della stazione centrale di Bologna, questo albergo si è rivelato molto confortevole e dotato di ogni particolare per la comodità dell'ospite, ho avuto una camera affacciata sulla Piazza della stazione e devo dire che il rumore esterno è stato totalmente abbattuto dalle due finestre a doppio vetro, soluzione intelligente. la camera molto confortevole seppur non molto grande ma ben organizzata e quei 20 metri sembrano molti di più; bello il bagno dotato anche di vasca ,,,nota particolare per il super accappatoio veramente morbido e comodo, frigobar ben fornito e bollitore con te' e caffè, ,
una bottiglietta d' acqua free completerebbe la dotazione 😉,(!) Staff molto gentile in linea con il carattere degli abitanti di questa bella città, Consigliato dunque

Good hotel
A very good hotel located literally opposite the train station and a short walk to all the main central areas in Bologna. Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Fitness suite is poor and customer service from reception not perfect - sending me on a wild goose chase with different phone numbers just to order room service. Definitely 4*, and would visit again.

Bien comunicado. Caro precio/calidad
Frente a la estación de tren y a 10min del centro. Habitación: no se pueden cargar los móviles, los enchufes no funcionan, solo un reposa maletas, ni siquiera un agua de cortesía, para 4* debería tener espejo de aumento en el baño y el desayuno 15€ un poco caro.

Pour les courts ou longs séjours, voici un établissement à recommander
Réel bravo pour la parfaite insonorisation des chambres de cet hôtel très fréquenté. L'ensemble des équipements et des services sont de qualité au confort douillet et à l'ambiance feutrée (malgré le grand nombre de chambres)

Hotel bien situé et pratique
Grand Hôtel en face de la gare centrale. Nombreux bus à proximité.
Grande chambre bien isolée. Climatisation bien gérée et appréciée vu la canicule.
Petit déjeuner abondant au sous sol: grande salle.
Au rez de chaussée restaurant convenable et classique à prix convenable.

Calidad y buena situación
Segunda ocasión que nos alojamos en un hotel de la cadena y la verdad es que hemos quedado muy satisfechos con las dos estancias. El hotel está justo enfrente de la estación central y a pesar del ruido en la avenida de la estación, la habitación estaba muy bien insonorizada y no se escuchaba nada. Habitación amplia y muy bien decorada. Personal de recepción muy amable y especialmente el personal del desayuno, siempre atento y amable. El desayuno completo y de calidad. En 10 minitos andando estás en la plaza Maggiore en un agradable paseo. Sin duda, para repetir

Estancia perfecta
Cama y ducha perfecta. La ubicación genial para visitar otras ciudades de alrededor, ya que se encuentra literalmente frente a la estación de Bolonia y a 15 minutos del centro de Bolonia. Desayuno de 10 y el personal siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudar. Sin dudarlo, me alojaría de nuevo en este hotel. Es cierto que por la noche puede sentirte algo inseguro por la zona, pero nosotros no volvíamos tarde, así que en ningún momento nos sentimos inseguros.

Nivel top
Estancia excepcional de momento en este bien comunicado con la estación central y con el centro.
La habitación deluxe es amplia, con buena iluminación y cuarto de baño muy grande. La cama es muy grande.
Pero, de momento, una mención muy especial al restaurante del hotel, es nuestra tercera comida en el mismo, y todas las veces la comida fantástica, tanto el entrecot de ternera al punto, como el bacalao o la ensalada de pez espada. La relación precio-calidad y servicio es insuperable. En España en pocos hoteles puedes comer tan bien y por los precios que hay.
Y mención especial, es el café en este hotel, no conozco un hotel en España, que de un café que le llegue “a la suela de los zapatos” a los que ponen aquí.
Sin duda, repetiremos en Italia en otro Starhotels.

Céntrico y cómodo
Hotel muy cómodo. Al lado de la estación, lo que permite visitar otras ciudades y un acceso directo al aeropuerto. Personal muy amable y atento. Habitaciones amplias y limpias al igual que el baño. El desayuno aceptable aunque podría mejorar dado el status del hotel y su precio.

Super Wahl
Das Hotel direkt am Bahnhof war eine super Wahl. Sieht von außen nicht besonders aus, aber innen war alles super. Wir waren für 3 Nächte und wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit großzügigen Badezimmer. Die Fenster hatten Doppelvergalsung und waren absolut schalldicht. Es war auch angenehm warm im Zimmer, da wir im Dezember dort waren. Das Frühstück war für 12,00 schwer in Ordnung und sehr umfangreich. Das Hotel wird wohl auch viel von Business-Gästen genutzt.
Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich. Ins Zentrum läuft man ein Stückchen. Ist aber ne schöne Strecke über die Einkaufsstraße. Die Gegend um den Bahnhof ist jetzt nich so toll,. Aber wenn man mit dem Zug kommt, ist man in zwei Minuten im Hotel.
Also ich kann das Hotel empehlen, wenn man etwas moderneres haben will.

Très bien.
Nous y avons séjourné un WE en famille fin juilet. Chambre spacieuse pour 4,hôtel cosy et emplacement idéal. Nous avons testé le petit déjeuner. Tout a été conforme à nos attentes. Nous recommandons et n hesiterons pas à revenir.

Top!
Bel hôtel avec une chambre spacieuse et propre. La literie est confortable et la salle de bain est grande. Le petit déjeuner est varié et avec de bons produits. L’hotel est juste en face de la gare mais c’est calme la chambre est suffisamment isolée. Je recommande !

Sauber und gut gelegen
Direkt beim Bahnhof, mitten im Zentrum. Zu Fuss alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichbar. Saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Überwachter Parkplatz. Nicht Topmodern, aber sehr gepflegt. Auch für Familien geeignet. Frühstückbuffet nicht speziell, hat aber alles was man braucht.

Von Vorteil war die zentrale Lage
Wir waren mit dem Hotel überwiegend zufrieden. Da es das von uns gebuchte Standardzimmer wohl nur zur (sehr belebten) Straße gibt, bot man uns für einen sehr fairen Zuschlag ein Upgrade auf ein Deluxe-Zimmer an, das zum ruhigen Innenhof gelegen war. Das Zimmer war recht groß, zusätzlich mit einem kleinen Flurbereich und einem begehbaren Kleiderschrank. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich, aber in die Jahre gekommen.
Das Frühstück war leider nur mittelmäßig und ohne Besonderheiten oder Abwechslung.
Im Fitnessbereich gab es weder Handtücher noch Mineralwasser. Auch hier könnte man ein bisschen mehr Fantasie walten lassen.
Eine freundliche Verabschiedung beim Check-out wäre auch nett gewesen.
Welche Corona-Regeln galten war für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Weder beim Check-In noch im Frühstücksraum wurde der Green-Pass abgefragt. Da fühlten wir uns schon recht unwohl.
Die Kosten für den Pkw-Parkplatz am Hotel waren im Vergleich zu anderen Parkplätzen, -häusern angemessen.

Très bon hôtel
Réservation faite par téléphone le jour avant notre arrivée.
Premier contact excellent.
C est un hôtel de chaîne classique oui mais où tout a été parfait du début à la fin de notre séjour.
Et cela fait qu ils se démarquent des autres hôtels de chaîne classique!
Nous étions attendu par le préposé du parking à notre arrivée.
C était le 15/08 et la réservation a été faite le jour avant. Nous arrivions de Positano et avions donné une tranche horaire assez large. Et malgré tout,nous étions attendu.
Notre choix sur cet hôtel a et d abord le fait que le parking était au sous sol de l’hôtel.( pour une question de logistique de certains bagages)
Et bien quel bon choix!
La chambre…l appartement devrais je dire immense,la salle de bain grande, l’insonorisation impeccable alors que nous sommes face à la gare.
Le personnel gentil,serviable.
Le petit déjeuner complet et correct.
La propreté excellente et le cadre au niveau des communs très jolis accueillant.
A 15 minutes de marche du centre historique,c est une très belle alternative à un prix défiant toute concurrence.
