Le Domaine du Vert Coteau

I highly recommend this place for few days in Deauville.
We felt at home and very comfortable. Most of the restaurants are just few minutes away while remaining in a quiet and peaceful area. I would definitely book again!

Trattasi di fatto di una serie di piccoli appartamenti all'interno di una struttura molto carina, simil maniero, ubicata a circa 1,5 km da Trouville-sur-mer e gestita da una coppia di signori sulla 65ina. Sicuramente una soluzione comoda ed a buon prezzo rispetto agli standard di Trouville e Deauville.
L'arredamento è essenziale ma curato, tuttavia la pulizia potrebbe essere un po' migliorata.
Essendo l'appartamento per due molto piccolo (circa 40mq), ed avendo un bel salone con tanto di camino, non c'è una camera da letto e si è pertanto costretti a dormire sul divano letto.
Consigliato per una o due notti, se non si hanno pretese.

We had a mis communication in the booking process with Manoir which led to us having to pay for two apartments when one would have sufficed for our needs (we were 5 people in total). This additional money was charged to my credit card without my consent which I am furious about. I wanted to dispute the charge but wasn't given the opportunity.

In terms of the apartment - we stayed in Derby which was a large spacious apartment. Whilst comfortable and clean, as other reviewers have said, it is a little run down and in need of redecoration and modernisation of equipment (particularly in the kitchen). It sort of reminded me of my student house, a grand old characterful place in need of some serious TLC.

The communal hall areas smell very musty which is off putting (this is not true of the apartment however).

All in all, between 4 people (which we were) it does represent reasonable value.

We also stayed in a one bedroom apartment (Yearling) which quite frankly is shocking value for money. It is not that much cheaper than Derby and at that price for one person, my expectations would be much higher, particularly with regard to the fact that there is only a sofa bed rather than an actual bed.

All in all, if you don't mind being a few km away from the centre of beautiful Trouville and you are a family of 4, 5 or 6, then I would say Derby is an acceptable place to stay if you are on a budget.

If you are travelling alone or in a couple, you would be better served by a more central hotel which in my opinion would give you more bang for a similar buck compared to the smaller Yearling apartment here.

You asked us to have one more bed or one more apartment. As we can not add beds into the apartments we told you the price for another apartment. You answered on the 24th of August: "Oui, je voudrais reserver Yearling pour la nuit de 27/08/15 pour ma grand mere" "Yes, I would like to book Yearling for the night of the 27/08/15 for my grandmother".
You have been charged for this apartment with your consent. If you didn't want another apartment you could have not use it and we would have not charge you. But you used the apartment.
We hope the other things you mention in your comment are not related with the fact that you are furious. The kitchen's equipment is new.

Evidently, towels and sheets are not included in inn service in France. This place will "lend" you some for 30 euros. The LeClerc down the street has a full towel set for 12.50 euros. This was our first shock. The second? A 25 euro per cleaning fee. The third? Ants! We're on the third floor; those ants have to climb a long way. None of our appliances are less than fifty years old, with the possible exception of the microwave. I do have to say the room is fairly spacious.

We, too, were greeted with the cidre on the (pink plastic patio furniture) kitchen table. Other than that, haven't seen the innkeeper since to talk to.

The vibe we have picked up from staying at this place for nearly a week now is that it is set up with as minimal investment in the rooms and staff as possible, with maximum nickel and diming to wring more money out of the customer. If we had known about any of the three shocks, we would not have rented from this place.

We weren't expecting luxury. We were expecting minimal service and upkeep.

1) Manoir du Vert Galant is not an Hotel but holiday apartments. In order to make sure everyone is fully satisfied we decided to provide towels to people who ask as an option like it is clearly mentioned when you make a reservation. The price you paid for this option is exactly the price we pay at the dry cleaner's.

2) The staff was there to help you with your concerns. Ants were there because you kept your trashes inside the apartment during your stay.

3) The cleaning at the departure is also an option as it is clearly noticed when you make a reservation. It is exactly what we pay to clean the apartment. We provide this option because guests may have to leave fast. We are doing our best to make everyone pleased. That's why you haven't been charged for the entire day of cleaning done after your visit.

We are trying to offer the best price to our customers. You were 4 people staying 18 days in this big apartment and for a total cost of 887€. That means 12.3€ per day per person.

We hope you enjoyed the cider made by a local producer.

We were in the appartment Mustang for 2 nights beginning of June with my husband and our baby and were very satisfied by the place, considering the price. We paid 150 euros for 2 nights and got a clean appartment with a deco simple but cosy and a convertible sofa of a great quality (I was anxious about the quality of the mattress, but it was really good!) the renovation was done several years ago, so it is not new, but correct and clean. Their welcome was warm, Mr Pineau taking care of this small hotel, is a nice guy. The welcomed us with a bottle of tasty cidre, and we much appreciated this small attention. It was a little cold for us in the room, but it is rather common for France:)
The manoir is located 15-20 min of walk from Trouville, and has a small parking. The place is recommended!
