The Porcupine Castle Resort

My spouse and I stayed here between July 06 2024 and July 08 2024, and I must say that our stay here was nothing short of incredible.

All the members of the hospitality team took incredibly good care of us.

The highlight of our stay was an intimate candle-lit dinner arranged by the team.

The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and IMO, the best time of the year to visit this place is between June and August.

The view from the room early in the morning is simply mesmerizing.

Highly recommended, will definitely stay here again.

It was really a good resort but during July some of activities are paused due to weather. SPA was not available but for future it will be available. I stayed for 2 nights. Food is also good but if you expect snacks like chilly paneer or chilly potato not good.

Location - excellent, amidst lush green forest even just after summer
View - balcony overlooking valley, hills on the horizon, birds chirping and flying atop tall trees. Opt for valley view room, extra cost will be worth when you seat there in chilly morning sipping hot tea/coffee, listening birds and seeing green cover everywhere.
Weather - was chilled, must be 4-5 degree cooler than nearby places (not exaggerating).
Room - very very spacious rooms, very well designed and decorated, enough room for family to have great time together (eventhough we had taken 2 rooms, enjoyed playing games etc in one room only).
Food - we had opted for vegetarian MAP plan (breakfast and dinner). Breakfast and Dinner had good spread covering south indian, north indian and continental dishes.
Service - excellent service, right from booking till departure.
Intercom - all services within premises are via whatsapp, wifi is anyway available thoughout the property.
Facilities: Coffee plantation walk with Nani was very informative and refreshing, very knowledgeable person. Swimming pool has excellent view, large enough to cater to all guests. Daily bon fire was very refreshing just before/after dinner.
Special mention of: Harapriya for her extra care in every restaurant visit for our aged parent. Teresa for her kind and caring attitute for entire family (she is known as local doctor, she keeps medicines for basic needs).

I stayed at the Coorg Cliffs Resort property from 1st to 7th July and it was one of my best experiences I ever had at a resort. Easily accessible from Bengaluru and Mysore airports as it's in the South of Coorg. A better option than travelling to Madekeri and North Coorg which are crowded and more commercialised. The topography of South is much more better which is unexplored and untouched compared to North.

*Resort- It's one of those rare resorts where there is a perfect place for everyone; Couples get their private spaces to enjoy their quality time and Family can have a lot of space for children to play in play area.
During my stay, I also saw an Office group from Bengaluru had visited with 100-150 people but it didn't affect my stay in any way. I came across these people in gym who told me they planned group activities and camp fires for the whole team.

*Activities - Nature Walk is one of the best things the resort offered.. enjoyed the coffee plantation and trees info during it. Campfires sessions were really nice.
Infinity pool has one of the best views of the cliffs

*Rooms- The rooms are very spacious and interiors are very well done. There were separate rooms and area for honeymoon couples. I was given a personalized welcome message iny room(see photos)

*Food- The quality and hygiene standards are really good at the resort. Chef takes good care of your dietary needs. All meals served were delicious and I enjoyed them very much.

*Staff- All the staff at the resort is extremely helpful and courteous. They helped me throughout the stay and were always available 24x7.

Suggestions - It's a must visit property, very pocket friendly and luxurious. Better to choose this over other places. Ever decide on a trip to Coorg choose Coorg Cliffs Resort.

Our stay at Coorg Cliff Resort was an unforgettable experience, filled with warmth, excellent hospitality, and a strong sense of community. Although our stay was just for one day, it felt like a wonderfully extended family visit thanks to the exceptional staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Special mention to Ravi, who provided us with insightful information during the plantation visit. His knowledge about the different trees and plants was impressive, and his organization of various events, including the campfire, added a special touch to our stay.

We are extremely grateful to the manager, Subramanya, for his down-to-earth nature and outstanding hospitality. He ensured we had everything we needed, even arranging coffee and tea after the evening coffee timing had passed. His attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed.

Ravi Rai was another star of our stay. He arranged coffee and tea with a smile and was incredibly kind to our little son, engaging with him frequently and making him feel at home.

Hari Priya deserves a big thank you for her exceptional service in facilitating our afternoon and night meals. She was not only attentive to our needs but also took the time to interact with us and our child, constantly checking if there was anything else we required.

The morning breakfast experience was delightful, thanks to Chanchala, Shalini, and Lakshmi Priya. They not only served delicious meals but also kept our little one entertained with various activities, ensuring he was engaged and happy.

The hospitality at Coorg Cliff Resort is truly exceptional. Despite our short stay, we felt we had spent quality time with the staff, who treated us like part of their family. Their friendliness and care exceeded all our expectations.

Additionally, the room service was prompt, the responses to our needs were quick, and the luxury stay offered a breathtaking view that added to the overall charm of the resort.

In summary, Coorg Cliff Resort offers an unparalleled experience with its excellent staff, beautiful surroundings, and top-notch amenities. We left with fond memories and a strong desire to return. Highly recommended!
